SORRY – But due to technical issues, we won’t be on tonight. We’ll try again next week.
Charlie and Skunkie are back! Well, sort of. Something happened during the August hiatus which made it be a LOT less relaxing than we had been hoping. More of a working hiatus and planning for the future of Nothing to Say. Don’t worry, Nothing to Say definitely has a future, just with a slightly different look than our listeners have come to know and love.
So tune in tonight at 7pm Eastern (it will be a short show so be sure to be on time) as our brave adventurers give you the details for the show’s new path.
Tonight is the return of The Curd (Curtis McMillan). Long time listeners know they’re in for a treat with one of Charlie and Skunkie’s favorite walking encyclopedias of alcohol knowledge (and a bunch of other stuff as well). Also, Charlie and Skunkie have some news to share, but you’ll have to tune in to find out. Join them tonight at 7pm Eastern.
If you are in the U.S. you probably still have a neighbor who still has a few fireworks going off at night. But if you live next door to The Backyard Scientist, odd booms are just normal. And this crazy man (Charlie’s words) will be our guest this week. Checkout one of his videos below then join us this Sunday at 7pm Eastern.
Tonight Charlie and Skunkie will be talking with Tom Smith, The World’s Fastest Filker. What is Filk you ask? According to Wikipedia Filk is “a musical culture, genre, and community tied to science fiction/fantasy fandom and a type of fan labor”. That’s a very simplified way to define the musical complexity that is Mr. Smith.
Most widely know for A Boy and His Frog, a tribute to Jim Henson sung in the voice of Kermit, Tom can make you laugh and cry with his music, sometimes in the same song. Listeners are definitely in for a treat tonight.
